Project info:

The work consisted of the demolition of the entire former St Augustine’s School for later re-development by others. The school was based directly in the centre of a highly populated residential area, therefore extra care was taken to protect the public at all times and reduce noise and dust emissions where possible, including the regular use of a road sweeper to keep the area as clean as possible.

The operations of the job were carried out as follows:

1) Site set up/Erection of site fencing and warning signs by principal contractor.
2) Site Welfare emplacement
3) Soft strip
4) The mechanical demolition of the structure
5) Removal of slab and foundations
6) Crushing of materials
7) Forming landscape, laying terram and soiling
